Soundtrack

Maybe I'm blind and there's already a thread started.
I ordered my CD today via Amazon. It's a 2-Disc-Set.

Thanks for this info. I was wondering if there was a Haven soundtrack available.
I loved the music in this film and have all of the soundtracks from Orlando's other films.
Loved Howard Shore's LOTR 3 disc set! Hans Zimmer's POTC 3 discs, and both Elizabethtown various artists discs.
Thought the music from Haven was original and different ever since I was lucky enough to attend the World Premiere of the movie at the Toronto Internantional Film Festival in 04. I remember thinking in the theatre, "such a unique soundtrack"!
Thanks again, must rush off to order...

Now you have to look for the Black Hawk Down soundtrack to complete your collection.

I don't have the soundrack yet... It's a good one!!!! But I watched the film today during my brunch - a Sunday-ritual: Watch a movie and eat, eat, eat...

And since it was such a beautiful day today, I then walked out into the garden and sun-bathed...

A not so sly combination if I think about it...

hot Orlando... and then letting the sun fry your brain...

My hormones are going for a walk with me right now.

I got my CD today. I'm converting it to mp3 right now so that I can listen to it when I have to go to work tomorrow.

Pirate Lass I forgot to mention the Kingdom of Heaven soundtrack.

Listening to my new Haven Soundtrack too!

2 disc CD, one is soundtrack and one is the
movie's music Score, which is kinda different!

Nice island flavour...

Forgot to say thanks, Choco!
for mentioning the Haven Soundtrack was available through Amazon.
(I could never find it in the Music stores at the time of the movie release).

I noticed the E-town Score was available there too. So must try to order that
(since it wasn't available in the stores either) to add to my LOTR, POTC and
E-Town sets

I'm still hesitant... I loved the music at the ending and the theme itself... but I don't know if it's actually worth buying the whole soundtrack just for these... From what I heard in the movie, not all songs were my taste...

I really like the soundtrack. It's my new favourite.
The only soundtrack of Orlando's movies I didn't like is the one from Troy. Ecxept that wonderful song with Josh Groban.
Edit: Beri, check your pm's.

Blech! I agree with you there, that soundtrack from Troy sucked pond water, but I guess you have to expect that when they ditched the original composer and threw that one together at the last minute. I loved the song from Josh Groban though.

To be honest this song was the only reason for me to buy it.
And I still think it is a shame that there's no one for Calcium Kid. *pouts*

Edit: I had to look for a translation for 'Blech' cause this word means in German 'metal sheet'.

^ THANK YOU, CHOCO!!!! THANKS THANKS THANKS THANKS!!!!!!

For everyone: Choco sent me a PM with the link for downloading the track from megaupload.

is that piracy? *lol* Okay... I'll listen through it and if the music meets my taste, I'll buy it, too. Well, I did the same with the Troy soundtrack... just for the song by Josh Groban. And it's right... James Horner made exactly TWO great scores. For Titanic and for Legends of the Fall. But all his scores sound like he simply covers himself all the time. You know one, you know them all. I watched "Deep Impact" on Thursday and the music in that sounded like recycled stuff from Titanic and The Devil's Own. One could easily tell who the composer was.

Piracy? Me? Never!
As far as I know you can make copys from your CD/DVD as long you didn't hack the copyprotectionthingy. And you can give about 5 copys to friends. I just used my Windows Media Player for making MP3.

*cough* What was the topic? Oh, Haven Soundtrack. I bought mine over amazon and payed about 12 (including postage and packing) for it. That's very cheap for 2 CD's. I don't know if you will get it from your local CD store, Beri.

Now that I've listened to the whole Haven Soundtrack, I have to say it was just O.K.
but not nearly as great as the 3 LOTR or 3 POTC Soundtracks.

Of course, to be fair, I think both the LOTR soundtracks by Howard Shore (which were Academy Award winners) and the POTC soundtracks by Hans Zimmer were much more professionally done with huge orchestras and choral arrangements!
Haven was just a collection of songs.
Loved the 2 E-town soundtracks too, because even though they were also just a collection of songs, I guess they were all old, familiar favourites.

Haven, after all, was "just a small, Indie movie" as even Orlando liked to point out in interviews. So its not really fair to compare.
