Beriawen's paintings

Here are some of my works...

Not overly contented with them, but I'm planning on working on them again. And some are just awfully photgraphed... Sorry for that.

I had some more, but not on photobucket anymore... nor on my harddrive... I'll repost them as soon as I have them photographed again.

Andnolewen, I used oil for these. Yeah, I'm a passionate oil-portraits painter... pencil as well, but not too fond of it.

BTW, I also painted (this is the photo of Orlando, just to avoid misunderstandings before you click *LOL*)Vanity Fair pic of Orlando in the dimension approximately 100.00 centimetres (39.37 inch) wide and about 80.00 centimetres (around 31.50 inch) high... And dear, what a torture that was... And I don't refer to the effort of getting that right. I mean, focus on his chest for a while to paint all these pendants on his chains... or that hand that rests there... and you should know what I had been through.

I'm planning on revising that one over the week-end. Something about his facial expression on that wasn't quite right... Now, I have to remind myself of taking a picture of that one and upload it here before I will have revised it, and then give you something to compare.

But thanks a lot for the compliments! I know, I've always been overly critical with my works, maybe...

And... I need to get that damned old digital camera of my dad to work properly...

Thanks! Oil paint is so great for making details!! I use watercolor for my paintings but it's not as easy as oilpaint to work with.

Thank you for reminding me of that... I knew I had to think of something this evening...

I can call myself lucky that my head is fixed to my neck. Otherwise I might forget that everywhere as well... I'm slightly abstracted somestimes.

I promised to post this a while ago. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to take a better photo of that portrait yet but I don't want to keep it from all you girls for longer.

Eh, yeah... I don't know how much water I had to drink during I was working on that due to excessive sweating.
