Like prospecting for gold, isn't it? We could build our very own frontier town.

Well, I think there'd be plenty of meat so I'm not too worried....

I'll go check the chocolate storage and the beer grotto...this place hopefully has lots of supply rooms...we're going to need them. And plenty of thick landing pads for all the people dropping in...

I know it's been a while since someone has posted in this thread, but I just can't help myself. I read through all pages here and now I'm literally choking on my laughter.

Port Willy has to be the best I've ever heard so far! Thanks for soothing my belly-aches I've been suffering from the whole day.

Just a link to a very nice french article about the dvd release of Haven . The author praises the film a lot and regrets that nobody could see it in theaters in France.

Thanks mientje for the link, it's an interesting article.

I like this part:

Quote:
Pour une fois crédible et intense, Orlando Bloom se glisse dans le rôle avec une candeur et une gravité insoupçonnée.
Very well said

Ok sorry, rough translation:

"Once credible and intense ( ), Orlando Bloom is gliding into the role with frankness and an unexpected depth."

Obviously someone who couldn't believe that Orlando is actually capable to do his thing.

I really wish this movie had gotten more attention than it did. He really performed so well. Plus I loved the storyline he and Zoe had. Not to mention he looked fantastic even scarred to crap.

Well, who of the millions of critics who still doubt his acting skills wrote that I wonder... But I'm glad here is finally another one pulled over to the side of realisation. (And one less on the side of the dumb)

*rant-mode on*

Just as a sidenote: on IMDB I read a comment about Orlando's surpirisingly well acting in KoH - made my hairs curl... and about his usually emotionless, expressionless face... Uhm. Okay... bastards...

*rant-mode off*

And true about this film not having been shown at cinemas worldwide. (They could at least try to get the rights to broadcast this on TV over here... As not a native speaker I had my difficulties in understanding every word... but I guess with that slang they used even native speakers sometimes had to listen to it twice *lol*)

Back when the movie was in US cinemas I've seen a list of international distributors.
You won't guess who bought the rights for this movie for Germany? ... PRO7 TV channel.
Still waiting for the movie to appear in TV, in said channel. Not to speak of a DVD - Germany seems to be the only European country with no DVD release.
