Trailer

Got this from IMDB, so take with the usual shaker of salt. But I thought it worth mentioning, just in case. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Quote:
It's official. The "Elizabethtown" trailer will go out with all prints of "War of the Worlds." I just got confirmation from the sound department that worked on the trailer. Supposedly, it's a great trailer... and the first of several that Paramount is doing. They love the movie, and are making it their big fall/Christmas release.

Yay!!!

Wow, it's amazing news!!! Thank you, Pumpkin Spice, for bringing this to me this cloudy/humid day!!!!!
I was going to go see War of the Worlds anyway, and now, I am the first in the line for the tickets on June 29th! I want to see the trailer for E-town SO BADLY (as well as the movie itself).
I think when the trailer is gonna play in the theatre, the crowd is gonna cry...or at least I am gonna cry . And then I am gonna be like I CAN'T WAIT TILL OCTOBER!!!!

War of the Worlds is rated PG-13 which leads me to think that ETown will be as well. Don't they usually put the trailers for movies with like rated movies?

This is great news. It makes sense to me since Tom Cruise produced Elizabethtown. Why not have a trailer in front of his movie? That's what I think at least.:)

For the longest I was debating whether or not to see War of The Worlds just so I could compare and contrast with the book. But now you can believe I'll be the first in line! Thanks for the heads up.

Update from MovieImp at KB, whom I consider a lot more reliable than some mysterious IMDB person:

Quote:
Paramount just confirmed that it is supposed to be attached to the print. But added in the usual "well you know all sorts of things can happen to make that change at the last minute."

So for right now. Trailer will be out within three weeks on the War of the Worlds print.

Standee is not far behind. They haven't seen any posters yet but expect some soon. Yes, I put in a mega plea for posters she is sending me extra. No promotional kits are expected for the movie.

That's all I got.
Ugh, I have problems with Cruise that extend beyond his recent Katie Holmes antics, although I won't go into them here. But I may have to cave and see this movie. I just hope Spielberg didn't mess with the original too much. It's a classic story!

Wahoo! I want to see WOTW anyway, but I was planning on waiting at least a few days after it came out to see it. Now I'm not so sure. Anway, this is great publicity for Elizabethtown.

EL, I think Yahoo or Apple usually do debut trailers a few days before they hit the big screen. I hope that's the case for E-Town too.
