From wax to Will

Good news for our dutch sisters:if you pre-order POTC AWE,you´ll receive an exclusive DVD,that contains the process from Orlando to Madame Tussaud´s wax figure,it must be really interesting....
LenaLove posted some nice pics at ka-bloom,but she asked not to post elsewhere,so I hope it was correct to put the link here.....

[sorry, link removed]

Some of the pics puts shivers down my spine....

It's pretty creepy how they make those wax figures. Amazing how it's possible though! Some of them look so real.

I've seen the Orlando one with my own eyes, far away it does look like him, but up close they just havent been able to capture the beauty that is Orlando!!

What a fantastic job - studying Orlando every day to make him perfect in wax - he's already so perfect to start with - drool drool.

Thanks for the link Mayfrayn - brilliant.

Thank you so much for posting this I wish they had showed Orlando looking at himself when it was completed. That would have been cool. They did a really great job on this and it looks so life like. Those people are really talented!

If one day you go to see the Wax Will, and it's not there...I'm sorry.Just kidding. That's kind of freaky cool ya know. To just walk up and look at it and him just be there...but not real. Imagine having to do night security shift duty in there.

Thanks for that link mayfrayn!

I remember it being pretty creepy walking up to the Wax Orlando at Madame Tussauds... Cos he looked so real from a distance! But seeing him up close was not the same at all. I reckon some of the figures are done better than others. Or else I couldnt see the resemblance cos I know how the real thing looks like

When I went, it was before In Celebration had opened (like a month before) and the Will figure was GONE! Dang fangirls drooled on him so much they messed him up!

Then the guy who works there (dressed as Jack) said to me (after I asked an incredulous, "WHERE IS WILL????") "What do you want with him when you can have Jack Sparrow? So I says, "I've seen 15 Jacks between here and LA (at the POTC3 premiere and Star Wars Celebration VI convention)...I WANT WILL!!!"

BUT.......2 months later I met, spoke with and touched the REAL Will ( ) so that made up for not seeing the wax one!

What's REALLY funny is that I think when the POTC exhibit was finished, they clubbed or cut the wig and turned "Will" into "Orlando" for the actor exhibit (or I've seen photos, anyway) - and it really didn't look like Orlando. I mean, it resembled him obviously, but Will has a certain expression and mien that Orlando normally does not.

Which just goes to show that he CAN act ...

Unfortunetely, when I was in London to see In Celebration, there was no Will's wax figure, only Orlando's figure and it was not so good like the one showed in the video.
Here are my photos taken at Madame Tussaud's

Is that your hair in the frame?

Man, they had the whole thing barricaded that day! My side wasn't barricaded the day I went.
