I agree with you, Serein! That fog theme they had going on was pretty cool!

eh, i'm not feeling the cover. it looks poorly made...like it was something they slapped together at the last minute. i like the poster Serein posted...i've noticed that usually they add some kind of graphic of the "monster" in the movies at the bottom, but they could just crop that poster and then add whatever graphics underneath they want. it just doesn't look as neat as the others.

but i don't really care that much about the cover...it's what's inside that counts. and the bloopers are definitely my favorite part (after the movie itself, of course).

In comparison with the DVD from DMC it looks like s**t! (pardon my french)

I think it looks like the cover of an illegal copy of AWE.....oh well, the most important thing would be the little round shiny things inside right?
Thanks for the info anyway!

I'm nor buying the cover either. The graphics is just sooo poorly made, no comparison to the other movie dvds.

I have a feeling this is a fake - it's made up by someone else, and not what the official cover by Disney would look like.

IMHO.

However, I'm not thrilled about the cover of the AWE DVD. I wish they had kind of continued the theme with the other two where you've got Jack, Will and Elizabeth. Either that or I would have preferred this pic.

If they wanted Jack out in front, I would have gone for this:

I agree with you Serein, if Disney wanted a cover with Jack in front, they could have done this cover, and it is up with the other two DVDs covers of the prior POTC movies, but this is cover exposed here is very bad.. Even the things in the DVD are lacking the amount of things that were for example in the COTBP DVD.

Most sites I've looked at have it dated as 19th November and they aren't using that cover art, they just use the red 'Jack' poster instead. I would have thought that if the cover art was decided they would have released it to selling sites along with the info. *shrug*

But whatever the art is like, it's good that the date seems to have been brought forward

From what I know, mirk, it is being released in the States 12/4 and the UK (so I assume other countries overseas, as well) on 11/19....Hope that helps someone a little.

I don't like that cover. It looks fan made.
But I do like what they're going to have on the Special Features. Too bad they won't have deleted scenes though

Jen, from KTTC????

I was really hoping for Deleted Scenes. I want to know what Ted & Terry were talking about. As for the cover, I'm not that impressed. I've seen better. My personal opinion, they should have stuck with the same layout/theme that they used for the first 2 movies.
If Disney is smart & markets it right, I'd say they'd release a box set. But the question is WHEN.

I hoped for deleted scenes too!
maybe they'll make a director's cut? That would be odd though.
I'm looking forward to seeing the dvd.

I'm new here and was just putting my toe in the water when I saw this post and thought it was a good place to start.

Sigh. The cover. Well, if it can't be all Will Turner, which we all know wasn't going to happen, I guess I'll just ignore the cover and hope for better on the discs. However, I am disappointed that there's no mention of deleted scenes especially with the on-line posting by the writers that at least one important scene was deleted that explained the whole "one day on land, 10 years at sea" thing.

I'm also disappointed that it isn't coming out sooner. All my loved ones who I wanted to send Christmas copies to live out of state & the 4th release will not allow me to do that. Poor planning Disney.

I'm a member of another forum & We've been having the same discussion about the deleted scenes. Evidently, either Ted or Terry, (Wordplayer is down at the moment so I can't directly quote them) Stated that Jerry just doesn't like to let go of the deleted scenes. And where this IS a trilogy, It is possible that an extended version box set will be released after a while. I dunno, I'm interested in all the deleted scenes....there were some important pieces of info that were left out I think. As far as the cover; It SHOULD be Will Turner all over it

Thanks for that Interconnector. They are similar to those posted earlier, in that there's the same characters featured and other shots. Maybe they were preliminary designs, or the details were leaked and someone had a go at what they thought they could look like. Like the red colour myself.

EDIT- EzyDVD is now using this artwork, where as before they had just the pic of Jack with the misty background.
