Colorizing B/W pics..

This is just a quick simple tutorial, but you can achieve very nice results with it.

-.Step One:

Open your picture, and inmediately open a new layer.

-.Step two:

Choose the colour you're going to apply.Use a soft brush in the adecuate size for painting the area.

-.Step Three:

Go to the layers palette/blending options/Overlay (but you can choose any other option that suits you),correct the borders with the erase tool.Correct the opacity if need it.I set this in 80%.

Repeat this with every new color and you'll get this:

Now flat your mage. You can save it like that,or apply any other filter/effect,as you wish.
This is my final result:

I've used that lovely B/W pic previously cleaned by Nazgull88.

Those are gorgeous Lola! I was going to ask you to show me them the other day since you first mentioned you had colorized those. I love these photos too. So wild and dangerous and different. Can think about nothing but s-e-x when I look at them.

Edit: OMG that is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! This is mine (it could use more tweaking but I thought I'd post it to show how if I can do this anyone can). The tutorial is just perfect Lola.

Glad that you like it girls --He he CD love to see you so happy--I told you that wasn't difficult.Good job,now is a matter of keep practicing, put attention to the details, don't let any grey area and don't overlap colours, and make them look "natural" .

Here's another way of puting colours on a b/w graphic,it doesn't look so "natural"but it look nice and is way more easy:

I've passed from this b/w pic

to a colourful one in two clics...
Open the image,go to Layer/Fill layer/Gradient and chose the blending option(I used Overlay, this time)and the colours you like and you'll get this:

Repeat, with different blending and diffrent colours and you'll get something like this:

I did it in five minutes...but of course you can add some brushes or textures...

Hope it helps you...
