My first thread! I'm so nervous

I got my Ned Kelly Soundtrack today It's brilliant. The music is so moving, so stunning, I found myself driving around (instead of doing something constructive like foodshopping!) while my girls were at ballet so that I could listen to all the tracks at least twice. The music is by Klaus Badelt (PotC, Time Machine)and the cd includes 2 vocals by Bernard Fanning. Definitely worth owning if you're a fan of soundtracks as I am :)

Anyone else enjoy the music from this film as much as I did?

Your first thread and you've done great! =D>

The music is beautiful and really enhances the emotions of the movie. I'll be adding this soundtrack to my 'to get' list for definite.

Tweed, I'm pretty sure you mean "Shelter for my soul". It's a beautiful piece, as is the whole cd actually. There isn't one track that I don't like. The music is just like the film; haunting, meaningful, lingers long after it has finished playing. :)

Okay so i enlisted the help of someone aat the other board i am a member of, and she found the lyrics to Shelter For My Soul, only she found them under a different name, being Powderfinger, who Bernard Fanning is lead singer of, i found a couple of tracks and they are pretty good.

And it's a wonderful first thread! Thanks for the heads up on the soundtrack. Don't when/if it will be released here in the US, but now I'm gonna bug some music store people to find out.

There are quite a few samples from the OST on amazon.com.
I wonder if iTune got the whole files for buyers to download, apparently it is not a popular film as others.

Love it!!

When I watched the movie, from the moment I heard the first notes, I thought, "OMG, I HAVE to have this soundtrack!!" So I ordered it and I waited quite impatiently for 3 weeks to get it!! I absolutely love it!!! It's an amazing soundtrack, just beautiful. I always cry during the last 2 tracks!

I am glad it has been nominated for this. it is a shame that this movie was passed over for so many things and the music is indeed very beautiful and moving and compliments the film perfectly. It deserves recognition for a score well done. the song Shelter for My Soul is also, superb and heartwrneching given the content of the film. it fits perfectly.

I had been looking for it Gem but haven't been able to track it down as yet. I do love Bernard Fanning's songs in the movie.

You know where I got it from Avalon? The Old Melbourne Gaol - it was the only one they had and the case was cracked so they gave me a discount! I'd been meaning to order it for ages...

Finally got it! eBay is my friend $13 so I thought that was a good price for a brand new cd. Think I'm on my 3rd hearing straight.

Oh that's fantastic Avalon! I'll probably have to start hunting for a new one soon, I listen to mine so much that I'm likely to wear it right through...
