Thank you to all of you who have shown your support of OL over the years and now as we move into a new phase. Some of you have raised the issue of finances and pledged to help out- thank you very much! As you know part of the reason for moving to a new host- Dreamhost- was to cut down on hosting costs. Elf lady herself covered the vast majority of this over the last few years- which has been a considerable sum.

Some of you were contributing to the Board through direct donation- this account has now been cancelled, but please do check to make sure your own bank has ceased payments. Also the affiliate links connected to elflady.com have been cancelled. We are in the process of considering if this will be a worthwhile fund raiser and will let you know if it is reinstated.

Nel is looking at the Shop and revitalising the products, so keep a weather eye out for her announcement. This money will then feed back into the Board funds.

Lastly this years hosting has been paid for in advance by ElfLady- once again we have to thank her for her generosity and love. We will be starting a fund in spring of next year to meet the fees, which are not onerous with a reasonable size membership and those who feel able and want to contribute will then be able to.

Hello lovely members! As you know the Board was transferred from the safe hands of Elf Lady and Serein last year into the waiting arms of myself and Tonny. EL generously paid for another years hosting to see us through the change and set us on our way, for which we have been very grateful.
The time for renewal is approaching- and given how fast time seems to be shifting at the moment it will be upon us quicker than a band of marauding orcs (someone call Legloas quick!)

SO I have set up a pay pal account for OrlandoLove.net and some of you may have noticed that there is a 'donate' button at the bottom of the page. Many members have pledged their intention to support the board financially- for which we thank you and invite anyone who can spare some cash to donate through the system. You do not need to have a pay pal account yourself but will need some kind of debit/credit card. Any amount is very welcome! The fees for the new years domain name and hosting are in the region of $160 and myself or Tonny will of course let you all know when we are nearing or have reached that amount.

We made a decision to just do one appeal for the year rather than ask for monthly donations because it isn't a huge amount in the scheme of things, but you may of course decide that your on finances are better suited to a small monthly amount up to the total you wish to give- is all fine.

My suggestion is that we donate any extra that may result from the donations to Unicef for that year and repeat the process each renewal.

The default is set to pounds now.. and we will probably change it to euro.
(because most of us are european based..)

If you want to make a donation, use a converter like this one HERE to see how much Us Dollars (or any other currency) it is in Pounds and then just fill in the amount of Pounds. Paypall will do the rest!

Hi all- just to let you know that we have reached our target amount for this year
Please do not send any more money. We will be asking again next year when the time is approaching for renewal. If you hadn't yet got around to donating, but were planning to, can I suggest that you redirect the money to Unicef? That would seem to be an appropriate place for the gesture.
